Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Crave & Savor collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
We may collect account details such as your name, username, email address, profile photo, bio, city, taste interests, dietary preferences, and account privacy settings. We also process content you choose to create, including Cravings, Savored visits, ratings, reviews, photos, videos, lists, comments, reactions, follows, circles, blocks, reports, and Community sharing choices.
Information stored on your device
Cravings, Savored visits, reviews, photos, videos, lists, preferences, and portions of your journey history may be stored locally on your device. These items are not currently synchronized across devices unless the app clearly says otherwise.
Account and Community services
We use Supabase to provide authentication and connected features such as profiles, follows, Community activity, comments, reactions, notifications, blocking, reporting, moderation, and account deletion. Information you share to Community is processed according to the audience and visibility settings you select.
Email services
We use email providers to send account verification, password recovery, and other service messages. Support emails are sent through your chosen mail application when you contact us.
Location and local discovery
If you choose Use My Location, Crave & Savor may access your location while you use the app to show nearby restaurants, calculate travel distance, and personalize local discovery. You may choose a city instead. You can change location permission in your device settings, and your precise device location is not displayed to Community members.
Images and external content
The app may load restaurant images and other content from external sources. Those services may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and device request information when content loads.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, remember your food journey, personalize discovery, display content to permitted audiences, provide social and safety features, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for cross-app tracking.
Your sharing choices
You control whether supported reviews, visits, lists, photos, and other activity are shared to Community. Depending on the feature, you may choose public, followers-only, circle, selected-people, private, or anonymous presentation. Anonymous presentation hides your identity from other users but does not prevent Crave & Savor from associating the content with your account for safety and moderation.
Retention and deletion
We keep connected account information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to operate the service, protect users, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account from the app. Local information may remain on a device until the app data is cleared or the app is removed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and protect access to your device.
Children
Crave & Savor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about your personal data. You can edit many profile and privacy choices in the app, delete your account through account settings, or contact us for help.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
